Sweet and Sour Spareribs
Recipe Yield: Serves 25

25  lbs.  Farmland K.C. Pork Spareribs, thawed
   Five-spice powder
2  cups  Plum jelly
1  cup  Hoisin sauce
1  cup  Rice vinegar
1  tbsp.  Minced garlic
1/4  cup  Soy sauce
1/4  cup  Tomato paste
  • Heat slow-roasting oven to 250°F. Sprinkle desired amount of five-spice powder on all sides of ribs. Place ribs in single layer on foil-lined shallow baking pans. Slow cook ribs 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours until tender.
  • Meanwhile, combine all remaining ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil. Drizzle sauce over ribs halfway through cooking.
