Galaxy Desserts has received a long list of honors and awards, including being chosen as Finalist for Outstanding Dessert at the Fancy Food Show in 1998, 2000 and 2001 receiving gold medals for various desserts from the American Taste Institute, and being featured on the cover of the Neiman Marcus holiday catalogue in both 1999 and 2000. Many of the finest restaurants, hotels, specialty food stores, and mail order catalogues in the U.S. feature the creations of Galaxy Desserts.
Galaxy Desserts was founded in 1998 as the result of the merger of two outstanding companies, Paris Delights, Inc. (f.1988) and The Cheesecake Lady, Inc. (f.1982). All production is located in San Rafael, California, about 10 miles north of San Francisco.
